Chiropractors are educated and trained to treat a variety of health conditions. Chiropractors are especially well known for their expertise in caring for patients with back pain, neck pain, and headaches. Though these conditions are certainly common, there are several other conditions a chiropractor can treat. Chiropractors care for patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, which includes injuries to muscles, ligaments, and joints. These painful conditions may involve or impact the nervous system, which can cause referred pain and dysfunction distant to the region of injury. Along with treating these conditions, a chiropractor may offer advice on nutrition, rehabilitation, exercise, healthy habits, and occupational or lifestyle modifications.
Most work benefit packages will include chiropractic coverage. This will differ for each plan as will the amount covered. We always recommend checking your insurance policy for more coverage details.

No, you don’t need a referral to see a chiropractor. Chiropractors are legislated as primary contact healthcare professionals, meaning you can consult us directly! Though you may be referred to a chiropractor, you certainly do not need one.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you, and as such, a late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist’s schedule that could have been filled by another client.
Best Case Scenario – you contact us with more than 24 hours’ notice. THANK YOU! All is well.
Life Happens Scenario – you contact us with less than 24 hours’ notice – we understand things happen and no cancellation fee will be assigned the first time this happens. If this scenario happens more than once a cancellation fee of $25 will be assigned to your account.
No One Wins Scenario – you do not cancel your appointment, do not attend, and someone else cannot access therapy. A ‘No Show’ fee of $25 will be assigned to your account. You will need to pay this fee before returning for more treatments.
Thank you for your understanding and respect of this policy.
Chiropractic Questions
An adjustment is a highly skilled move applied either by hand or instrument to the vertebral joints of your spine, or any other joint in your body. The adjustment itself consists of a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust once the joint has reached a point of tension. An adjustment restores joint movement and function.
Yes! Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest non-drug, non-invasive forms of health care for treatment of musculoskeletal complaints, and can help to avoid drugs and risky surgery.
A chiropractic adjustment uses a highly skilled movement that a chiropractor develops during their extensive education. The adjustment is typically done by hand, but can also be done using very specific instruments. When performing an adjustment, a chiropractor will move the joint so it is at its point of tension. Once the joint is at its point of tension, the chiropractor will deliver a very specific thrust into the joint. You may hear a click or pop when the chiropractor delivers the thrust. This sound is the release of a gas bubble in the joint, which is completely normal and expected.
X-rays are usually not required prior to your first treatment. If anything comes up during your initial assessment, one of ours chiropractors may want to see some x-rays before adjusting to make sure things are safe. When that's the case, we will use other treatment methods we determine to be safe (like soft tissue therapies) until we know we can adjust safely.
Yes! We treat many patient with osteoporosis. Some may come in with a previous diagnosis, some not. Either way, our chiropractors are trained to look for key signs someone may have osteoporosis and will proceed with caution and care. Treatments are tailored to each patient, so those with osteoporosis often receive lighter adjustments (if any) along with lots of other great modalities and soft tissue therapies.
